TEC Group's valued client in Corona, CA is on the hunt for a Sales Business Analyst with strong manufacturing background in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. This is an incredible opportunity to work with the Analytics Manager and VP of Growth to build a new Analytics Department. This is a key position for the company, which offers an opportunity to make an impact!

The role of the Sales Business Analyst is to use data and thorough analysis to answer the hard, open-ended questions required to operate, develop, and grow the business. Impactful analysis and research are more than compiling statistics; it requires expertise to interpret findings and translate analyses into actionable business recommendations.

The Sales Business Analyst will assist in developing and preparing sales presentations, utilizing fact-based data from multiple sources, and present ideas internally and externally as needed. The Sales Business Analyst will help develop the (company) team through a detailed analysis of customer, consumer, and market data to improve sales, marketing, supply chain, product development, and operations effectiveness.

Required Education & Experience:

  • 4 year college degree preferred
  • Progressive career in sales analytics (CPG)
  • 2-3 years' minimum experience within a CPG organization
  • Advanced/Expert Excel skills
  • Syndicated data experience
  • 2-5 years of experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Office 365, Retail Link
  • A highly analytical, intellectual curiosity with proven track record in quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Proficiency with analytical tools, statistical packages, and basic data access
  • Ability to work effectively with business, sales, supply chain, operations, product development, and marketing partners to gather and meet the data needs of the business
  • Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner with sales, marketing, product development, and leadership teams to influence the overall strategy of the product
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Snapshot of Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual reporting, including but not limited to, Dashboard reports, costing reports, store listing, etc.
  • Provide actionable insights that support data-driven results for the sales team
  • Work with various data tools including running and analyzing 1010 Data, RSI, and IRI
  • Develop, integrate, and provide account or brand-specific forecasts for internal sales and operations planning. This includes replenishment data, point-of-sale data, sales promotion information, marketing plans, manufacturing capacity, and new distribution/product deletions
  • Align sales/marketing intelligence for each operating unit for use in forecast systems, working with sales organization(s), national sales accounts, marketing, research and development, and related forecasting and planning groups
  • Keep abreast of external market factors, trends, and research that may impact business decisions as needed
  • Use syndicated data (i.e., IRI) and appropriate tools to identify trends in market share and distribution to drive the business
  • Provide detailed information and analysis of events, marketing campaigns and sales promotions as they relate to retail sales

Compensation (for example):

  • Up to $110k/year commensurate with experience
  • Health benefit plan offering 100% company-paid premium (HMO)
  • 401k plan after 1 year with no vesting and 100% match on first 3%, 50% match on next 2%
  • Discretionary bonus potential

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
